Where the information comes from

  • Village of Greenport Code, Chapter 132 (Vehicles & Traffic), Article X and its schedules — the codified parking rules.
  • The Village’s official paid-parking FAQ and official paid-parking map.
  • MTA / LIRR records for the station lots.
  • New York State tax-parcel and address records for lot ownership and addresses.
  • Street-level and aerial imagery of posted signage, used only where signs are clearly legible.

How it was checked

Independent research efforts were reconciled line by line, and every material claim was then checked against the primary sources above — the authority is always the underlying Village, state, and agency record, never a secondary report or a map app’s label. Remote verification was completed on August 2, 2026. Physical, on-the-street verification of current signage is still pending where the guide says so.

Anything that couldn’t be confirmed is labeled, qualified, or held back — not guessed. That’s why some locations show “reported” boundaries, why map positions are marked approximate, and why some locations don’t have a directions button yet.

What we won’t do

  • Guess coordinates or draw boundaries without evidence.
  • Trust map-app labels over posted rules.
  • Publish anything we couldn’t confirm — or update the guide automatically from unverified reports.

Who we are — and aren’t

Aldo’s Coffee Company is a café and roastery on Front Street, roasting in Greenport since 1987. We are not the Village of Greenport and not an official parking authority — this guide is a free community resource. Rules can change at any time: posted signs and current official instructions always govern. If this guide and a sign ever disagree, the sign wins.

Corrections

See something wrong — a sign, a rate, a rule? Report an issue. Every report is reviewed against the official sources before anything changes.
