Aldo’s Decaf is a French dark roast decaffeinated using a chemical-free water process that relies only on water, temperature, and time—never chemical solvents. The result is a bold, smooth, heavy-bodied cup with notes of rich cocoa, toasted toffee nut, and deep dark-roast character.

How is Aldo’s decaf coffee decaffeinated?

Our decaf is decaffeinated using a chemical-free water process. Only water, temperature, and time are used to draw the caffeine out of the green beans — no chemical solvents are ever involved. The beans are then roasted in small batches to our French dark profile, just like our caffeinated coffees.

Does decaf coffee taste weaker than regular coffee?

It doesn’t have to. Flavor comes from the bean and the roast, not the caffeine. We roast our decaf to a full French dark profile — bold, smooth, and heavy-bodied, with notes of rich cocoa and toasted toffee nut. And because every bag is roasted to order, it reaches you at peak freshness.

Is decaf coffee completely caffeine-free?

No decaf coffee is 100% caffeine-free — decaffeination removes the vast majority of the caffeine, but a small trace remains. If you’d rather keep some caffeine, our Half Decaf Dark Roast Blend delivers about half the caffeine of a regular cup.

Should I buy whole bean or ground decaf?

Whole bean stays freshest longest — we recommend it if you have a grinder at home. If not, choose from our five grind options and we’ll grind your coffee immediately before packing and shipping to lock in aroma and flavor.

Can I make espresso with this decaf?

Yes. Choose the Espresso Machine (Fine) grind, or order whole bean and grind fine at home. The dark, heavy-bodied profile makes an excellent decaf espresso.

Can I use this decaf in a single serve pod brewer?

Yes — choose the Drip / Paper Filter (Medium) grind and use it with a reusable single serve pod filter. It’s the easiest way to get fresh-roasted decaf from a pod brewer.

I had to switch from decaf after a medical crisis a couple years ago and had to eliminate all cafine, alcohol and weed from my diet. I searched for several years to find a quality decaf that compared to my past cafinated blend. I Tested over 20 different roasts from NY and so many were weak but Aldo’s was both rich and strong. I’m from Long Island and glad I met you at the cafe, I give you kudos for creating a high quality product that is hard to find. I keep 2 lbs in the pantry at all times. Thanks for a great product.
