About the Farm

Tucked in the southern highlands of Costa Rica, this coffee comes from a dedicated group of small organic farmers who grow their beans alongside corn and other crops. They’ve joined forces through a cooperative called COOPEASSA R.L., where each farmer hand-picks ripe cherries and delivers them to a central mill known for its exceptional quality control. Using eco-friendly water recycling methods, the beans are carefully washed and dried on raised beds to lock in balance and flavor. It’s a beautiful example of community, craftsmanship, and sustainability—all in one cup.

I admit it, I'm a coffee snob. I like what I like and how I like it. One day I was feeling kinda nostalgic and decided to google one of my favorite coffee joints from back in the day (I moved off on Long Island/the East End a few years ago) and imagine my surprise when I saw that Aldo's ships! I immediately placed an order, and I had it in 2 DAYS! That's day I brewed a cup and it was the best damn cup of coffee I've had in awhile! And it brought back memories of sitting in the back of the store, watching the water and eating a biscotti! I am a subscriber now, because I can never be without my "'ole faithful". Consistency good, every time!
