Unique in its nature, the peaberry stands out amongst other coffees in the fact that only one bean grows per coffee cherry opposed to the usual two. This allows for an enhanced sweetness in the bean itself as well as creates a more spherical, rounded shape that alters the surface area in the roasting process. The final result is a pleasantly bright and sweet cup, with all the best attributes of a lighter roast without the sharp and overpowering acidity.
This particular peaberry is grown at an elevation of 1300 meters on the famed volcanic soils of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.
