Description

Two chocolates. One biscotti.

First, to clear something up: this is not a New York black and white cookie. No cake, no icing. This is biscotti — twice-baked over a toasted almond base until the crunch is exactly right, the way we've done it in Greenport since 1987.

The black and white here is chocolate — both of them, on every biscotti. One side is dark Belgian chocolate that snaps. The other is white Belgian chocolate with a softer finish. Every bite gets both.

We bake in small batches by hand, and we make these to dunk. Try it with a bold espresso or a dark roast — the chocolate holds its own.

Keep them in an airtight container at room temperature and the crunch stays put. New to biscotti? What Is Biscotti? A Complete Guide covers the whole tradition.

Allergen note: contains wheat, tree nuts (almonds), egg, dairy, and soy (from the chocolate). Made in a kitchen that also handles hazelnuts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this the same as a New York black and white cookie?

No. The New York black and white is a soft, cake-like cookie with icing. This is Italian-style biscotti — twice-baked, crunchy, and coated in real dark and white Belgian chocolate instead of frosting.

What kind of chocolate do you use?

Belgian chocolate, both dark and white — one side each, on every biscotti. The dark snaps; the white has a softer finish.

How should I store biscotti?

In an airtight container at room temperature. Our What Is Biscotti guide covers storage in more detail.

What coffee pairs best with it?

Try a bold espresso or dark roast — chocolate-forward biscotti generally pairs well with a stronger cup.

Ingredients

Sir Galahad artisan unbleached wheat flour, farm-fresh egg whites, rich butter, crunchy almonds or hazelnuts, and pure Belgian dark & light chocolate for our chocolate-dipped varieties.

What makes our Biscotti special?

It’s the process. Every batch is hand-mixed, hand-shaped, and sliced by hand — never extruded by machines.

Then comes the step that defines biscotti: the second bake. Each loaf is baked, sliced while warm, and baked again until the crunch holds up to hot coffee.

We bake fresh daily in small batches in our café and ship promptly, so every bag reflects the quality and craftsmanship that have defined Aldo’s biscotti since 1987.
